what do you suggest for a gap that is 36 inches long?

Maybe buy 2 sets and piece them together. If you make sure & cut it straight they should fit together fine. I love mine. Even though the gap was small I still dropped stuff into it

These are too wide for me, would like 1.25" wide. Can they be cut to that width?

Yes you should be able to cut them. they where longer than what I needed so I cut them to fit the length and that was every easy.

What is the demention of these gap covers? Want to buy one for my kichen.

We have the 21" and 25" long gap cover, the width is 2.25".You can measure your kitchen stove counter gap, then make sure the length you need.

What's the measurement to the "T" on the bottom from the sides? That should be included in the measurement diagram image.

1/2" on one side and 1 &1/2 in on the other. Center seam is 1/8th. Total of 2 & 1/8 inches across.
